Matt Ireland has been in the IT industry since the early 1990s. His path to CISO started at a regional bank doing workstation and network support. He then transitioned to a global manufacturing company supporting enterprise messaging, servers, networks and firewalls. In 2001, Matt started the security operations team for an application service provider for banks and credit unions. Most recently, he was responsible for major incident and problem management for a Midwest health insurance company.
Matt brings a unique perspective to the NTT Security leadership team; he was an NTT Security (U.S.) (formerly Solutionary) client for more than 5 years during his tenure as a Director of Security Operations. Matt brings more than 20 years of relevant industry experience to his role at NTT Security (U.S.) as Regional Chief Information Security Officer - Americas. In this role, he is responsible for driving security strategy, enhancing and forging new customer relationships, and bolstering internal security policies and processes for the Americas region.
Matt is also very committed to giving back to the community. He has volunteered for almost 25 years in the emergency management Fire/EMS Service, and is a certified Reserve Peace Officer in Iowa, volunteering as a Reserve Deputy Sheriff in Dallas County (Iowa). As a father of three children, he loves spending time with his daughter and two sons. Also, as an Eagle Scout, Matt volunteers as an Assistant Scoutmaster with the Boy Scouts of America.
