    As the Acting Assistant Secretary for the Office of Cybersecurity and Communications (CS&C), Danny Toler oversees five major divisions and manages a fiscal year budget of over $1 billion. He successfully leads a 24-7-365 cyber operations center, orchestrates the execution of major engineering and acquisition programs, conducts stakeholder engagements with both public and private entities, and ensures the interoperability of critical public safety communications networks.

    Prior to becoming Deputy Assistant Secretary, Mr. Toler was the Director of the Network Security Deployment (NSD) Division within NPPD/CS&C. As the Director of NSD, Mr. Toler was responsible for leading the deployment and performance of cybersecurity technologies to counter on-going, real world national cyber threats and applying effective risk mitigation strategies to detect and deter those threats. Upon assuming his role as director, Mr. Toler was responsible for realigning the Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) program under NSD, effectively keeping the program under his continuous leadership and guidance. Mr. Toler led the development, deployment, and operational efforts for the National Cybersecurity Protection System (NCPS), commonly referred to operationally as EINSTEIN.
