    Alison Howe is ASPI’s ICPC project manager. Alison joined us from Microsoft (Adecco) where she held the position of Customer & Partner Experience Manager, reporting to the Director of Customer Experience; a role which analyzed the criteria for successful delivery of technology to market whilst ensuring a great customer journey. In this role, Alison was required to balance many complex stakeholder requirements to ensure product and service outcomes which underpinned the excellence of the Microsoft brand in Australia.

    Alison was recruited to Australia in 2008 by Woolworths Ltd to lead a transformation initiative across Woolworths Logistics. The role saw her develop a framework, branded as ‘The Consistent Platform’, which delivered a baseline of consistent and compliant processes across 16 distribution centers.

    In terms of network technology, Alison began her career in 1998, as a technical support engineer for Nortel Networks in the UK. Alison provided transmission technical support to all the newly licensed UK network operators. She was certified in a broad range of technologies including Nortel’s transport technologies and CISCO routing products. In 2000, Alison was promoted to product management of Nortel’s Transmission Network Management portfolio and received sponsorship to undertake an MBA.

    Before moving to Australia, Alison had successfully completed a role as Service Assurance Process Owner with British Telecom (BT). The role involved embedding Service Assurance processes for the newly divested business, BT Openreach, in response to regulatory requirements creating ‘equivalence of access to 30 million end users.

    Alison holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications Engineering from the University of Bath, an MBA from Imperial College, London; and is currently studying for a Masters degree in Cyber Security Strategy & Diplomacy via UNSW.
