Royal Caribbean welcomes aboard new CISO

Renee Guttman, formerly vice president of information risk and member of the Office of the CISO at security services provider Optiv, has been named CISO of cruise company Royal Caribbean.

Prior to her role at Optiv, Guttman was CISO at Coca-Cola Company and held senior security positions at Time, Inc. and Time Warner, Inc, including VP Information Security and Privacy at Time, Inc.

“Renee’s role is paramount as Royal Caribbean continues to work in a global environment where information security is critical to the ongoing success of our company,” Michael Giresi, CIO, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. said in the press release announcing Guttman’s appointment. “Information security touches every aspect of our business and Renee’s leadership and oversight will innovate RCL so that our information and systems are protected and in compliance with global regulations.”
