Patrick Howard, CISO of the Housing and Urban Development Department, has been named to the same position with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Howard will head up the NRC’s new Computer Security Office as the commission works to modernize its systems, according to fcw.com. Howard’s position at HUD will be filled by Lynn Allen, formerly CISO at the US Department of Agriculture. Allen has held the Agriculture post since 2005. The Veteran Affairs Department has named Jaren Doherty to the CISO position. Previously Doherty held that position with the Health and Human Services Department.
