– Joe Albaugh has been appointed as Chief Information Security Officer of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Albaugh will be responsible for all aspects of the organization’s information security program, with a focus on mitigating risk to acceptable levels, ensuring that federal compliance requirements are satisfied and demonstrating information assurance as a mission enabler. Prior to joining the FDA, Albaugh was a Senior Manager in BearingPoint’s Public Services sector. He received his MSIA from Norwich University in 2007. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and recently graduated from the Executive Education program at Yale’s School of Management and holds certifications including the CISSP, NSA-IAM, MCSE, CCNA and PCLP.– The Retail Leaders Industry Association appointed Paul Jones to the position of Vice President of Asset Protection. He also has prior experience at Federated Department Stores, Luxottica Retail Group and Sunglass Hut.– Patricia Titus, Chief Information Security Officer for the Transportation Security Administration, is headed to a private sector position with Unisys, according to Federal Computer Week.
