CHIEF INFORMATION SECURITY OFFICER (CISO) RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA Salary range $94,411 to $129,816 plus excellent benefits. The current CISO budget is over $1.2 million with 7 staff, and this will increase to more than $1.8 million with 10 staff in FY2008/09. Requires a relevant bachelor’s degree (additional experience may substitute for some education); master’s degree preferred. Should have at least 10 years IT management experience, including 5 years in information security (5 years as a County Information Security Analyst III with management experience may substitute). Must have experience with firewalls (PIX/Border Manager), anti-virus (McAfee/Norton), Intrusion Detection/Intrusion Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), virtual private networks (VPN), remote access systems (RAS), public key infrastructure (PKI), encryption (3DES), digital certificates (Versign, Entrust), routers (CISCO IOS), sniffers (Network Associates), distributed denial of service attacks (DDOS), biometrics, DMZ/Transaction Zones, business continuity planning, auditing, HIPAA and related regulatory compliance requirements, risk management, contract and vendor negotiation, and physical security. Must possess and maintain current certification as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) within guidelines established by (ISC)². Certification as a TruSecure ICSA Certified Security Associate (TISCA) is desired. Having worked in a decentralized organization would be a plus.
