ING, a leader in banking, insurance and asset management, has named Kerry Ruhl as Corporate Information Security Officer and Head of Information Risk Management.  Ruhl was previously Vice President, Digital Security & Data Management at Tyco International, and has held senior leadership positions at Unisys and IKEA.

Sun Microsystems has promoted Leslie Lambert to Chief Information Security Officer, reporting to the CIO. Lambert is responsible for overall IT Security Management, including prevention and protection against SPAM, Virus attacks, Intrusion Detection, threat vulnerability assessments, Incident Management, Security Awareness, Standards/Procedure development and deployment. Lambert joined Sun in 1992 and her previous roles have included: Vice President of IT Strategy and Architecture, Service Management and Systems Engineering Practices, Chief Information Security Officer, Vice President of Demand Creation Systems IT, as well as Vice President of both the iPlanet and Software Systems Group divisions. She has 27 years of experience in both Information Technology and technical/business infrastructure.

 Sun’s previous CISO, Mark Connolly, moved to take the position of Managing Director for IT Risk at Credit Suisse.
