The two companies today said they intend to combine their threat-research divisions so that M86 Security labs will become part of Trustwave SpiderLabs.Robert McCullen, chairman, CEO and president of Trustwave, said the acquisition of M86 Security will help his firm in “delivering advanced anti-malware technology through the cloud and our managed services.” Trustwave said it intends to add the M86 Secure Web Gateway to the portfolio of services available in the Trustwave Managed Security Services. The company also said it will integrate M86 Security products into Trustwave’s cloud-based TrustKeeper portal.
