Oracle will fix a number of products, including the Oracle Database, Application Server and E-Business Suite, next week as it releases its quarterly batch of security patches.

Next Tuesday’s Critical Patch Update will include 13 patches for the database, half as many as the software vendor provided in its January release. Three of the database bugs appear to be particularly serious, with Oracle warning that they could be remotely exploitable over a network, without requiring a user name or password on the database.

The next most-patched product is Oracle’s E-Business suite, which will have 11 fixes. Two of these could be remotely exploitable.

Also planned for next week’s Critical Patch Update: bug fixes for Oracle Application Server, Oracle Collaboration Suite and Oracle Enterprise Manager. The company is also planning to release four patches for its JD Edwards and PeopleSoft products.

More details on next week’s update can be found on Oracle’s website.
