One man was killed and an officer was critically wounded in a shooting at the United Airlines ticket counter at the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport.

An Associated Press story on CNN.com reports that an unidentified man grabbed an officer’s gun and shot another officer twice in the chest. A third officer intervened and shot the suspect, who later died at a local hospital.

The shooting occurred in an area before passengers enter security checkpoints, according to the AP. However, the airport remained open.
