Following a standoff and a crash through a casino window some 20 floors from the ground, police arrested a man who allegedly shot and killed another hotel patron before firing at police and paramedics, the Associated Press reports via FOXNews.com.

Harrah’s, located on the Las Vegas Strip, evacuated guests from the 19th, 20th and 21st floors, but the rest of the hotel remained open during the six-hour ordeal, the AP reports.

The suspect shot another hotel guest at roughly 12:30 a.m. last night, before firing into the hall of the hotel at police and paramedics who were responding to the shots fired, the AP reports.

A number of SWAT officers grappled down one side of the 29-floor hotel/casino and broke through the suspect’s window, the AP reports.  It’s unclear whether or not the man resisted before being arrested, according to the AP.

Harrah’s spokesperson Alberto Lopez told the AP both the shooting victim and the suspect were guests of the hotel, but their names were not released.
