The International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium [(ISC)2] has hired the U.S. State Department’s chief information security officer, Jane Scott Norris, as its new co-chairwoman of cybersecurity, Federal Computer Week (FCW) reports.(ISC)2 is the IT security certification organization that maintains and administers the CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professionals) exams.Norris is the new co-chairwoman of (ISC)2’s U.S. Government Advisory Board for Cybersecurity, according to FCW.Norris succeeds Bruce Brody, former associate CISO at the U.S. Department of Energy, and she has been a member of (ISC)2’s cybersecurity board since 2003, FCW reports. Lynn McNulty, the group’s director of government affairs, is the other chairperson, according to FCW.Norris was appointed on March 13, FCW reports.
