Connelly Named CISO at Sun Microsystems

Sun Microsystems has named Mark Connelly to the position of Chief Information Security Officer. Connelly will be responsible for securing Sun’s digital assets worldwide. According to the company, he will work closely with Sun’s CSO, Whit Diffie, as well as the Chief Privacy Officer. Connelly has been with Sun for 17 years, most recently serving as VP of IT with responsibility for Customer Resource and Call Management systems.
