Governor Mitt Romney offered the wiretapping of mosques andsurveillance of foreign students in Massachusetts as he called on thefederal government to devote more time and money to domesticintelligence gathering. The Boston Globereports that his remarks, in a speech to the Heritage Foundation,caused alarm among civil libertarians and advocates for immigrants’rights.
