Acxiom Announces Privacy Governance Changes

Data provider Acxiom has announced the creation of several new positions pertaining to privacy protection.

Jennifer Barrett, previously the company’s Chief Privacy Officer, has been named Global Privacy Officer. Barrett, who has been at the company since 1974, “will be responsible for oversight of Acxiom’s global public policy, privacy and information practices; in this new capacity she will provide direction for Acxiom’s information use policy across all global operations, ensure internal compliance with legal regulations and industry guidelines and oversee consumer and government affairs,” according to the company.

Also: Sheila Colclasure, previously Acxiom business leader for privacy practices and solutions, will become privacy officer for North and South America.

Barbara Sullivan, previously Acxiom privacy leader for Australia and New Zealand, has been named chief privacy officer for Asia.

Sachiko Scheuing, formerly an Acxiom consultant, will be privacy leader for Europe.
