Post Office Trains for Suspicious Mail

The Postal Service will debut a web-based program to train managers andfrontline employees how to handle suspicious mail this fall. Govexec.comreports that the training will include video and paper instruction thatgives advice on dealing with a variety of suspicious mail scenarios.The training is in response to recommendations from the GovernmentAccountability Office. After an audit by the GAO, the auditorsrecommended that the Postal Service provide explicit guidelines forinforming employees and union officials of potential health and safetyhazards. Read more.
