ConocoPhillips is challenging the state of Oklahoma over weapons in theworkplace. The Christian Science Monitor reports that ConocoPhillips istrying to keep employees from leaving guns in their cars in companyparking lots. Oklahoma and Kentucky are the only two states thatprohibit employers from banning weapons on their own property.Ironically, Constitutional law states that those companies would stillbe liable if someone is shot with those weapons on their property. TheNRA is also participating, citing the Second Amendment. Theorganization feels that if companies block the law, it could pave theway for corporations across the country to declare their parking lotsanti-Second Amendment zones. Read more.
