Microsoft announced on Wednesday that it intended to acquireFrontBridge Technologies, a provider of online service for securing andarchiving e-mail. Networkworldreports that Microsoft will continue running the company to providee-mail disaster recovery and compliance, spam and virus protection tocorporate users. Terms of the deal were not discussed, however,Microsoft plans to keep all 160 FrontBridge employees. An analyst withGartner felt it was a good move for Microsoft because it “highlightsthe increasing demand for corporate e-mail hygiene services.” Read more.
