Beware of a fake Microsoft alert that is going around. Ane-mail that identifies itself as Microsoft Security Bulletin MS05-039, andoffers a link to what it claims is a patch against the Sober Zafi and Mytobworms, is actually a link to a Trojan that will take control of your PC.TechWorld reports that the bulletin doesn’t exist, the patch is fake and the Trojanis not currently detected by anti-virus software products. However, the risk isconsidered low as the server hosting the Trojan exceeded its bandwidth andseems to have shut down. Read more.
