Some Damage, No Injuries… Two small explosions shattered glass in the building that houses the British Consulate in Manhattan Thursday morning, but no one was injured. The New York Times reports that police were called to the scene at 845 Third Ave. between 51st and 52nd Streets just before 4 a.m. The blast coincided with a general election in Britain. Police believe the devices were two grenades that were buried in concrete planters outside the building. The devices were likely lighted by a fuse. No timing device was found, reports the Times.
