John Knox has been named director of security for the North Carolina Museum of Art in Raleigh. Knox is a 30-year police force veteran, serving as interim chief of the Raleigh Police Department in 2001. He replaces Ken Smith, who retired in May after 22 years on the museum’s security staff.
