Not according to Ira Winkler, chief security strategist at Hewlett-Packard, who reports that there are professionals within the Fortune 500 who still think it’s all right to hire hackers.“Somehow they think it makes their company ‘bleeding edge’ to have criminals looking for vulnerabilities on their network,” says Winkler. “Computer criminals haven’t proven any skills except the willingness to commit a crime.
