Symantec executive Amit Yoran fills Richard Clarke's DHS post

Symantec Corp. executive Amit Yoran has been named to the top cybersecurity position within the Department of Homeland Security, effectively replacing Richard Clarke, who resigned in February 2003. Yoran founded infosecurity firm Riptech (purchased by Symantec in 2002) and previously worked in the Department of Defense. He holds degrees from West Point and The George Washington University.
