The act also requires the Attorney General to ensure that any unit in the Department of Justice responsible for investigating computer hacking or responsible for investigating intellectual property crimes is assigned at least one agent to support such unit

The Act amends Federal copyright law to make importation of copies and phonorecords of a work that have been acquired outside the United States without the copyright owner’s authorization an infringement of the exclusive right to distribute such copies or phonorecords. It also authorizes the Secretary of the Treasury and the U.S. Postal Service to make regulations prohibiting such importations regardless of registration with the Copyright Office or recordation with the Bureau of Customs and Border Protection(BCBP).
