Financial services company Capital One has named Paul Honey to a newly created position, head of technology risk management. Honey was formerly VP of Global Contingency Planning at Merrill Lynch. At Capital One, he oversees information security, operational risk, and business continuity activities.Earlier in the summer, Capital One also promoted Laura Olle to Chief Enterprise Risk Officer. The position is an extension of Olle’s previous role as SVP of Corporate Control and Governance. She joined the company in 1999 as SVP of Information Technology Systems Development, and earlier held positions at Freddie Mac and Marriott Corp.Olle reports directly to company Vice Chairman Nigel Morris.
