Cullen Named Microsoft Privacy Chief

Peter Cullen, former corporate privacy officer at Royal Bank of Canada, will join Microsoft as Chief Privacy Strategist in mid-July. At RBC, Cullen established the Corporate Privacy Group and helped the company take a leading position in privacy management among financial insitutions. In his new position, he will report to Scott Charney, head of Microsoft’s Trustworthy Computing initiative, and work to enhance privacy protection in Microsoft’s internal processes as well as its products and services.
