Podcast: Mastercard Uses Hybrid Cloud to Meet Strict Requirements for Data Security

With strict requirements around data sovereignty, security, and performance, Mastercard is testing the limits of hybrid cloud solutions to extend its distributed real-time payment capability around the globe.

But hybrid cloud adoption in the financial transaction processing industry still faces some challenges, notes Mastercard exec Paolo Pelizzoli. While technology is increasingly up to the task, “from a compliance perspective, there are still a lot of different boxes left to check before someone can allow payments data to flow actively across the cloud,” he says.
