Elias Oxendine joins Yum! Brands as CISO
Mr. Oxendine has been promoted to CISO for Yum! Brands, he will be responsible for Yum!’s Global Technology Risk Management (GTRM) function and establishing processes designed to protect the company. Leaders reporting into Oxendine include those overseeing cybersecurity services; identity and access management; and GTRM policy and procedure implementation at Yum!’s brands across the globe. Oxendine joined Yum! in June 2020 as Director overseeing the Yum! Brands IT organization’s governance risk and compliance. Later that year, his role was expanded to include service delivery and incident response before being promoted to Senior Director, which included new responsibilities such as communicating to the Board of Directors Oversight and Audit Committees. Prior to coming to Yum! in 2020, Oxendine spent time at Brown-Forman, where he served as Global Director of IT Security and Governance, and GE growing his career in the information technology sector.  (H/t QSR Magazine)

Chris Lugo joins Blue Cross Blue Shield Association as VP and CISO
Mr. Lugo has been named VP and CISO of the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association (BCBSA). He will be responsible for information security and privacy, business continuity, risk and compliance activities. He’ll collaborate with the 35 Blue Cross and Blue Shield companies to coordinate information security policies, procedures and compliance activities. Lugo brings extensive technical and leadership experience to BCBSA across multiple industries, including science and technology, hospitality and financial services. Prior to joining the Association, Lugo served as the vice president and global CISO of Danaher Corporation, where he oversaw the global information security, cyber risk and compliance program. Lugo was recently included in the Business of Infosec’s 2021 Global Top 100 Leaders in Information Security report. Bryan Payne joins BetterUp as CISO
Dr. Payne joins BetterUp in a newly created CISO role to oversee all aspects of information security including product and enterprise security, customer trust, compliance and overall cyber risk management. Payne has focused his entire career on computer security and data privacy, most recently at Netflix where he served as Engineering Director, Product and Application Security. During his tenure, he led the organization’s pioneering global scalable programs that covered product security for all software created at the company, customer fraud and abuse protections, infrastructure security, critical software services, and security program management. Antonio Anderson joins Somos as VP, Information Security & IT
Mr. Anderson joins Somos as VP, Information Security & IT. He will lead the information security program for Somos focusing on implementing modern security policies and practices to safeguard critical information. Neda Pitt joins Globality as CISO
Prior to joining Globality, Ms. Pitt served as Deputy CISO at Lam Research where she built out Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), and Identity and Access Management (IAM) programs across IT and information security to create an enterprise-wide approach to security. Prior to that, she was VP of Information Security at Cisco Systems and Director of Identity Management at VF Corporation. Selim Aissi joins Blackhawk Network as CISO
Prior to joining Blackhawk Network, Mr. Aissi served as SVP & CSO at ICE Mortgage Technology (previously known as Ellie Mae) and prior to that he was VP of Global Information Security at Visa. Aissi has received industry accolades for security innovation and leadership, including the 2019 and 2021 CISO of the Year Award and 2021’s Top 100 Global CISOs. Raum Sandoval joins Entara as CISO
Mr. Sandoval first joined Entara as the Director of Managed Services, focusing on day-to-day operations with a focus on security. This prepared him for his next role as Deputy CISO. Keith Squires joins the University of Utah as CSO
Prior to joining the University of Utah, Mr. Squires served in former Utah Governor Gary Herbert’s cabinet. He spent years in public safety, including 31 years as a law enforcement officer, Homeland Security Advisor, leading the State Bureau of Investigations and Utah Highway Patrol, and worked as an advisor to the US Director of National Intelligence. Terry Phillips joins Leidos as SVP, CSO
Prior to joining Leidos, Mr. Phillips was executive director of the Air Force’s Office of Special Investigations (OSI) and the Office of Special Projects. He also served as director of counterintelligence for the OSI and the European Command in addition to his post as US counterintelligence representative to NATO. He has a Master of Science in Information Security Management from the University of Fairfax and has a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Kenyatta University. Don Boian joins Hound Labs as CISO
Prior to joining the startup breath analysis technology company, Boian served as the security outreach director and CISO for Huntington Bank. Before joining Huntington Bank, he spent 30 years at the NSA where he held many leadership positions including associate deputy director for TechSIGINT and ground capabilities, chief mission control capabilities, technical director for the chief of operations US CYBERCOM, signals intelligence directorate cyber lead, TAO director of operations, and chief of the remote operations center. Ketan Shah joins the City of Philadelphia as CISO
