Kaiser Permanente Appoints Hoffman as Director of Information Assurance

Kaiser Permanente has appointed Jason Hoffman as  Director of Information Security Assurance. Hoffman will be responsible for development and delivery of Kaiser’s Information Security Risk Management Framework and related standards, best practices, and associated policies and procedures.

Hoffman previously served as Vice President and Information Security Officer of Greater Bay Bank, N.A., a community banking and specialty finance organization. He has more than 16 years of experience in security, information technology, and audit, including positions at VeriSign, Wells Fargo Bank and the University of California, San Francisco. Hoffman is also a founder of the TRUST (Team for Research in Ubiquitous Secure Technology) working group of security executives and university professors aiming to create a college level IT Security curriculum that would bring information security education and awareness from the boardroom to the classroom. He has earned several accreditations and certifications in the information technology field, including CISM , CISSP, CISA , and CIA. He graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Legal Studies.
