Further Anonymous and LulzSec Members Arrested

DailyTech reports that federal authorities have been rounding up suspects believed to have been involved with LulzSec and Anonymous' recent criminal activities.

One suspect, believed to be LulzSec's spokesperson "Topiary," was arrested in late June in the UK's Shetland Islands. More recently, a 23 year old Phoenix, Arizona man known as "recursion" (aka Cody Andrew Kretsinger) has been detained by the authorities on suspicion of involvement with the attacks on Sony services. His handle showed up repeatedly in LulzSec's chat logs during the hacks, but he reportedly later quit the group as it set its sights on high profile governmental targets.

Also apprehended were 5 UK-based men aged between 16 and 26 who allegedly collectively claimed to be a 16 year old girl named Kayla. Anonymous spokesperson Sabu claimed on Twitter that Kayla had been arrested, but did not confirm that the handle was actually managed by several individuals.

Following these arrests as well as what members of Anonymous believed to be mistreatment of members engaged in real world protests, the hacktivist group has proposed that tomorrow -- September 24 -- be a "Day of Vengeance," during which the group will launch a series of attacks on targets including Wall Street, banks and the New York City Police Department.
