Job Description
Responsibilities
Build and manage a Managed Endpoint Protection technical team that provides advanced technical expertise, product engineering, and develops and documents processes and standards for use within Symantec's Security Operations Centers (SOC) worldwide.
Work with Product Management, and Business Operations to engineer and process new service deployments.
Establish, manage and develop a team of local and potentially international security engineers; creating development training goals and career path programs with goal of maintaining high employee retention.
Test, train and develop of standards for applicable EPP technologies and devices for the SOC.
Identifies technical requirements for development that supports the delivery of new and existing services to clients.
Provide subject matter expertise to the Symantec Sales team on MSS-EPP issues in regards to client questions, site tours, and occasional onsite client presentations.
Meet with customers on an ad-hoc basis to manage timely resolution of their issues.
Evaluate and approves technical variances from sales and customers, assessing their impact to operations and long term support.
Ensures compliance with existing and new standards and practices and participates in all audit related processes.

Symantec Managed Services places resource-intensive IT operations under the management of experienced specialists so the company can optimize existing resources and focus on strategic IT projects. Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor's egree in Computer Science or other related field
Demonstrated experience managing technical teams w/ at least 3 years in a network/security operations center or similar environment.
Strong technical knowledge of Endpoint Protection Platforms (EPP), Symantec preferred.
Advanced knowledge in TCP/IP networking concepts, computer security best practices and product engineering/development;
Demonstrated project management skills with proven ability to lead multiple complex projects.
Ability to translate standards and policies defined by management into real-world operations while meeting SLA terms and analyzing SLA performance.
Ability to formulate technical and non-technical training.
Understanding of the HR and performance management issues involved in managing a team of technical employees.
ITIL based operations experience and previous audit experience a plus.
Preferred Certifications (one or combination of the following): Certified Symantec Endpoint Protection Administrator, ITIL Foundation Certified, CISSP, GSEC, RHCE.
