Job Description
This non-exempt position's main focus will be to safeguard principal from safety and security hazards. The position is based in the greater Seattle area.
The job requires a high level of personal integrity and honesty, confidentiality, good judgment, strong problem-solving skills, especially under pressure, and the capacity to follow instructions.
The first responsibilities of the Executive Protection Professional will include assisting and shadowing a senior specialist in a variety of duties and the completion of trainings in protective services, driver, medical, firearms, and defensive tactics.
Upon completion of required trainings the appropriate candidate would be able to be effective at:
Safeguarding Duties: Safeguard principal from all forms of security and safety hazards.
Advance work: Depending on years of experience and education, may either assist in or conduct surveys of future sites that principal will visit for events and plans logistics around sites and events. Detailed planning includes all aspects and issues relating to physical locality, movements in, out, and around site and event, and preparation for emergencies and other contingencies.
Limo driver: Acts as primary driver for principal. Must operate vehicle in safe and comfortable manner. Ensures vehicle is in good working order, fueled, and clean. Prepares routes in advance, as well as alternate routes.
Follow car driver: Follows principal's vehicle and provides security coverage on the road during transportation of principal. Identification and intervention of threats along route. Renders aid in event of accident or other safety hazards.
Close-in protection: Provides security coverage for principal in a way that is professional, courteous, and in compliance with policy and procedures.
Liaison: Coordinates with internal staff and department heads to accomplish common goals regarding provision of personal assistance and support for principal's activities.
Communications: Report writing, oral and written briefings. Can appropriately communicate with people of various age groups.

Requirements
Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university OR 2 - 3 years related experience and/or training,
o Preference for candidates with 2 or more years on the same EP team.
o Preference for candidates with local knowledge of the greater Seattle area.
Certificates and Licenses: Ability to obtain a fire arms permit and carry a fire arm. Must have a valid drivers license with a safe driving record.
Computer Skills: Position requires proficiency using the Internet and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Working Conditions:
Able to travel and work irregular or extended hours.
Able to regularly stand, walk, sit, use hands/manual dexterity, reach or stretch, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; speak or hear.
Able to frequently climb or balance, and taste or smell.
Able to occasionally run or sprint.
Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions and occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather); work near moving mechanical parts; work in high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock; work with explosives and vibration.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception.

Base salary 78-95K DOE.
