ObjectVideo's Alan Lipton offers suggestions for dispelling hype and finding value
By Alan Lipton, ObjectVideo

The Truth: Like any competitive market with new and exciting technology, there will be outrageous claims made by some less-than-scrupulous vendors. But this doesn't mean that everything is hype. We're all familiar with used car salespeople and yet there are a great many good quality used cars out there. Be suspicious of a vendor who answers "yes" to every question. They will help set expectations and work with integrators to ensure that CCTV infrastructure will be appropriate to make your mission and your experience with analytics as successful as possible. ##
