Bill Brenner Joins CSO; More Changes on the Way
CSO welcomes veteran information security journalist
By Derek Slater
May 01, 2008 — I am excited to announce that Bill Brenner has joined CSO as Senior Editor. Bill has spent the last four years covering news and industry developments for Information Security magazine and searchsecurity.techtarget.com. He can be reached at bbrenner@cxo.com.
CSOonline.com relaunched (you noticed, right?) with our new design, new information architecture and new platform at the end of last month. In the process we gained a new appreciation for IT challenges like database migration! We still have plenty of kinks to smooth out, but we're eager for your feedback; leave a comment on this article or email me at dslater@cxo.com.
CSOonline will continue to serve not only CSOs and CISOs but the entire digital and physical security community - in part by providing awareness articles that help inform nonsecurity personnel about safety and security issues. Chris McGoey's excellent writeup on Home Security basics being the leading example of the moment.
The site redesign was by no means the last of our big changes. Also this month we've launched our revamped CSO Wanted Job Board and a likewise revamped Events Board. Both are free of charge. You will also notice that today we've expanded our navigation bar to provide easier access to our physical security how-tos and other articles.
Still to come: we're working on the archive to allow you to find articles based on the magazine issue in which they appear. And we have much more planned. Keep your eye on CSOonline and let us know what else we can provide.
