NSA Names Additional Centers of Academic Excellence

The National Security Agency adds 10 more schools to its distinguished list.

August 01, 2004CSO — Six years ago, the National Security Agency established the Centers of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education program. Colleges and universities with information assurance programs continue to apply for the designation, and students who attend the schools are eligible for federal scholarships.

The NSA recently added 10 more schools to the distinguished bunch, bringing the current total to more than 50. Here are the honorees:

Boston University

Dakota State University in South Dakota

Kennesaw State University in Georgia

Pace University in New York

University of Detroit at Mercy

University of North Texas

University of Pittsburgh

University of Texas at Dallas

University of Washington

West Chester University in Pennsylvania
