Sonatype names Ounce Labs co-founder as Chief Security Officer

Software company Sonatype has named Ryan Berg as Chief Security Officer.

Berg, co-founder and chief scientist of source code testing vendor Ounce Labs, most recently has been cloud security strategy lead at IBM - which acquired Ounce Labs in 2009.

Sonatype provides software component lifecycle management products, which help customers with agile, component-based software development. As CSO, Berg will "responsible for driving Sonatype's security strategy and working with the software development community to ensure component-based development best practices," according to the company.
