Smirnoff named CISO at Comerica

Dallas-based bank tabs former Morgan Stanley exec

George Smirnoff III has joined Comerica as Chief Information Security Officer.

Smirnoff was previously Executive Director, Global Chief Operating Officer of Operational Risk and Information Security Officer for Morgan Stanley, according to Comerica.

He has also held positions at consultancies including Trexin Consulting, Ernst & Young, and Diamond Management and Technology Consulting.

He holds MBA and JD degrees, in addition to the CISSP certification.
